hlloo→hellosliptgthr→togethershorthandthnks→thanksshorthandplz→pleasephoneticFixes as you go
Typos and shorthand resolve the moment you finish each word — no popups, no squiggles to chase.
Early accessOn-device autocorrect for Mac
Type at full speed. itsTypo fixes typos and shorthand the moment you finish each word, offers the rest when it sees where you’re going — and stays quiet when it isn’t sure. Everything runs on your Mac.
Free during early access. No spam — one email when your invite is ready.
Demo
Fix on every word boundary, tab to finish, ⌃⌥R to rewrite, ⌃⌥D to dictate.
Playground
A small preview of how itsTypo resolves each word as you finish it — and when it decides to stay quiet. The Mac app goes further, learning from your own writing with a language model that runs on your Mac.
Or try one of these
Undo teaches it: press ⌫ right after a fix to restore what you typed — it won’t touch that word again. esc hides a suggestion, → takes all of it.
What it does
hlloo→hellosliptgthr→togethershorthandthnks→thanksshorthandplz→pleasephoneticTypos and shorthand resolve the moment you finish each word — no popups, no squiggles to chase.
The launch is on Friday at 10am.tab
When it sees where you're going, it offers the rest. Tab takes it — one word at a time.
itover → it over
to gether → together
Runs words apart, joins broken ones, and catches the slips a spellchecker misses.
Messy draft? Press ⌃⌥R and the field is cleaned up at once — casing, spacing, every slip.
Rather talk? ⌃⌥D (or hold fn) and speak. Parakeet, Whisper, Qwen3-ASR and more — transcribed locally.

fixes you had to undo twice
Undo a fix once and it never repeats it. It suggests shorthand for words you type in full, and counts every keystroke you save.
The one rule
A missed fix costs you nothing. A wrong one can reach a recipient. So itsTypo is tuned on its false-correction rate, not on accuracy — and when two answers are close, it shows neither.

need more tme
Works wherever you type — and nowhere it shouldn’t. Never in password fields or search boxes.
No cloud engines. No account needed to use the app. Nothing you type is uploaded, logged remotely, or used to train anything.

Qwen3.5 0.8B runs on your Mac through llama.cpp. About 0.8 GB, and fine on an 8 GB machine.
02
After the one-time model download, nothing needs the network — not fixes, not completion, not dictation.
03
What it learns from your writing stays encrypted in your Library folder. Turn it off or wipe it any time.

MIT-licensed, so anyone can check exactly what it does with a keystroke. The code goes public with the first release.

FAQ
Yes, to start. Autocorrect, shorthand, word prediction and dictation with the smaller speech models are free. Pro and Ultra plans will add larger models and sentence completion later — and every plan stays 100% on-device. The source is MIT-licensed either way.
macOS checks words against a dictionary. itsTypo also resolves deliberate shorthand (tgthr, thnks), fixes missing and extra spaces, uses the sentence around the word, offers completions you take with Tab — and holds back whenever two answers are close.
No. Correction, completion and dictation run on-device. The app has no cloud engines. Signing up here only stores your name and email for the waitlist.
An app that types into every other app needs care per app. We invite people in waves, fix what each wave finds, and widen the door. Sharing your referral link moves you up.
Anything with a standard text field — mail, chat, notes, docs, browsers, editors. Per-app rules handle the quirky ones, and secure fields are always excluded.
English first. The lexicon format is language-agnostic, and more languages are on the roadmap.
